Dodford

The Parish of Dodford lies 3 miles west of Bromsgrove and still has many characteristics of the Chartist Village that came into existence in 1849.

Many of the properties in the village were built before 1900 and a number of them are listed buildings within a conservation area.

The Church Holy Trinity and St Mary was built in 1908 in Priory Road and features work embellished by The Bromsgrove Guild.

There is also a First School which opened in 1877 and teaches children from 4 to 9 years of age.

The village only has one pub which serves Real Ale and has a new dining experience "The Black Rock Grill".

Many events are also held here throughout the year including a Beer Festival.

The area also has a local childrens holiday farm which is a Charity offering holidays and short breaks to children who are less fortunate than most.
