Tandoori Indian Restaurant

I believe this is oldest Indian Restaurant in the town. It hasn't changed that much over the years though I think the food has got better recently.

Its always quite busy at weekends and as said, the food really is very good indeed.

The decor is basic inside but saved from the sandstone walls which give the place character and the service is friendly and efficient.

The two downsides for me are that the only beer they carry on draft is 'Stella' so you end up having to pay above the odds for smaller bottles of Cobra, if you don't like Stella, and the fact they insist on seating you in the wicker furnitured 'bar' area for you to order your food, even when the place is empty.

Personally I like to sit down, relax and look at the menu rather than sit in my coat in an uncomfortable chair to decide. That said the food does make up for it, my second favorite in the town.
