Absolute disgrace
by: Anonymous

Staff are disinterested and bad mannered.
Wait for food was ridiculously long, particularly given the microwaved rubbished that we were then presented with.
Interior scruffy with an unpleasant odour.
In fact the only positive thing I can say about the experience was leaving and knowing we never have to return.
The Slug and Lettuce, Pizza Express and Prezzo offer a much more pleasant (and value for money) and we will stick to frequenting those.
Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid.....

Not good

Staff seem like they can't be bothered to serve you, also waited over one hour for a burger, wouldn't mind if it was busy but it wasn't.

no milk!
by: Lindy

shabby looking 2 standard breakfasts, stale sausage cob, paid for 2 coffees and 1 tea, the bloke looks over and says 'I got no milk for the tea, that ok?' .... I said no! they found a very small amount for the tea. Meantime new customers walked away from the bar to the pub opposite due to 'no milk'!!! Wont bother with this one again, though the Costa coffee was excellent!

Lost the Plot

What a rowdy down market offering. Music so loud it will burst your ear drums. What is the town turning into.
My advice is stay away...unless your just out of nappies and brain dead

Missed opertunity
by: Steve

Nice refit, but they never seem to have any beers on, despite displaying a wide range. I'd had this problem before Christmas and gave up on the place, tried it again three months on and just the same, the staff are all miserable as sin and/or confused with things, its a real shame. How difficult is is if you are a pub to serve and sell the beers you advertise as available?

Refit
by: Anonymous

It was a great re fit, without the TV's and with the terrace. Unfortunately, they bottled it and it is all back.
Music is louder than a night club. Not a good place to drink and enjoy other peoples company.

Go to the Back Cross or Slug & Lettuce instead. They know what level to keep their music in the lounge, so a conversation can be had.

Pity, the people who have the money walked away. Instead, kids with £10 which includes their taxi fare home, get the nod.

Used to be The Rousler now The Grapevine
by: Darren

Visited the newly opened Grapevine on their launch night Wednesday.

What a transformation!

Fantastic new interior and well designed brand new roof terrace.

Gone are the Sky TV football screens with a new focus on good food with excellent service.

Highly recommended.

Value for money food
by: John

They've got a good menu with some very good meal offers. My wife and I use the pub regularly for lunch and the staff are always friendly and the service is quick and efficient.
